Lower Lehigh Lions Club Sets Guidelines, offers Table Applications for Upcoming Flea Market

The Lower Lehigh Lions Club will hold its Fall Flea Market and Garage Sale on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Macungie Memorial Park.

Spaces will be available for setting up beginning at 6 a.m., and the sale will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m.

Last year was a rain out, so we are expecting a large turnout this year. Spring was another sell out.

A registration form can be found with the images for this announcement at the right.

The spaces are 15' X 25' and are $15 for the day. We provide space only. You need your own tables, etc.

Space is limited; when we are filled we are filled.  Spaces will not be held without a paid reservation. Please get your reservations in early.

If you would care to reserve a space, please complete the form and mail it along with your check to the Lower Lehigh Lions Club, c/o Ronald Bechtel, 429 E. Main St, Macungie, PA, 18062.

Please make your check payable to the Lower Lehigh Lions Club. Payment is due with reservation. Cancellation with a refund must be made at least 10 days prior to the flea market.

Rain Date: Sunday, Sept. 9. Postponing to the rain date is at the discretion of the committee. No credit if we need to use our rain date.

On September 8, 2012 we are asking that
you use the Poplar Street entrance, this is the entrance from Route 100/Main Street.  Members of the Lions Club will be waiting there to assist you in locating your assigned space.  The Lions will be operating the refreshment
stand, so we ask that you do not sell food or drink from your stand.

Breakfast sandwiches will be available 6:30-9:30 a.m. or while supply lasts. Hot sandwiches will be available from approx. 9:30 until at least 12 noon but no later
than 1:30 PM
. Drinks will be available while we do our clean up. Remember,
we were also here at 6 AM.

If you have knives for sale, please do not sell them to any children or teenagers unless a parent accompanies
them. No firearms are to be sold.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us comply with current safety measures.

The Lions will again be running a 50/50 drawing at the flea market to support our school free eye exam and eyeglass
program. 50% will go to the program, 20% to first place winner, 10% to second and third place winners, 5% to fourth and fifth place winners.

The drawing will be at approx. 2 p.m. Sept. 8, and winner need not be present. At our spring flea market we took in $428; $214 went to our program and $214 to the lucky 5 winners:1. Anna Roman $85.60, 2. Betty Jo McDonald $42.80,  3. Charlie Bedner $42.80, 4. Brian Estwin
$21.40, 5. Robin Ewer $21.40.

Chances will be a donation of $1 or 6 for $5 and will be available at the Lioness space, next to the refreshment stand, and our Lions area. Tickets are not numbered and are available for presale along with your reservation. Thank you for your support in spring and we look forward to your continued support this fall. Please help support this worthy sight effort.

Reminder: We hold checks until after the flea market. I will acknowledge receipt of your check if I have an email address.

Unfortunately this past year we had some checks that bounced. This is not only embarrassing to you but creates extra work for us. Please be sure we have your current checking account and that sufficient funds are available.

The Spring Flea Market will be held on Saturday May 11, 2013.

The Lower Lehigh Lions Club collects used eyeglasses, hearing aids, and hearing aid batteries. Please bring any
you may have with you and we will collect them as we walk around. We also collect non-perishable food items for the local food bank.

Moses, Thanks for letting me know. I've removed the link and added the form as a PDF you can find next to the story under the Lions Club logo.
