Alleged Macungie Drug Dealer Faces Multiple Charges, Police Say

A 26-year-old Macungie man, who is accused of selling heroin to confidential informants, is facing multiple drug charges, according to police.

Police found cocaine, steroids and unlabeled prescription drugs in the home of a Macungie man who is also accused of selling heroin to confidential informants three times since April, according to court papers.

Dennis Acosta-Goris, 26, of 316 Bloomfield Circle, is facing multiple drug possession charges—including five counts of felony possession with intent to deliver.

Acosta-Goris’s home was searched with his consent on Tuesday. Prior to the search, he had assured investigators that there were no illegal substances in his home.

Allentown police had been investigating Acosta-Goris as early as April 19. On that date, according to court papers, he met with a confidential police informant at the Allentown Fairgrounds and sold an amount of heroin.

On May 21, Acosta-Goris again met with a confidential police informant—this time in Macungie—and sold heroin, police said.

On Tuesday, Acosta-Goris once again met a confidential informant—again at the Allentown Fairgrounds—and sold heroin, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

But this time, Allentown police officers were waiting to arrest Acosta-Goris after the sale and did so without incident. Police searched Acosta-Goris and found 60 white waxine bags containing suspected heroin hidden in his shorts, police said. Police also said they found prerecorded cash the informant used to pay for the heroin.

A few hours later, police descended on Acosta-Goris’s home to conduct a search.

A bag of suspected cocaine, vials of testosterone, “numerous unidentified prescription pills” in unlabeled containers and $6,400 cash were found in a safe.

Acosta-Goris was arraigned Tuesday before on-duty District Judge Wayne Maura of Bethlehem and released on $250,000 bail.
