Child on Bike Receives Head Injuries in Collision with Truck
Young bicyclist was in the middle of Lower Macungie mobile home park intersection, police say.
An 8-year-old riding a bicycle Sunday afternoon in a Lower Macungie Township mobile home park received head injuries after colliding with a pickup truck, police said.
The unidentified child received unspecified head injuries after being thrown to the ground following the impact.
Dale Wuchter of 1170 Grange Road was driving his pickup truck eastbound about 2 p.m. in Red Maple Acres Mobile Home Park, according to . Wuchter turned left as the bicyclist was approaching the Grange Road intersection from the south.

The front end of Wuchter's truck struck the bicyclist in the middle of the intersection, police said. The cyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment of head and arm injuries. Minor damage was reported to Wuchter's truck.
Police said no charges are expected to be filed.
