Columbus Day: What's Open, What's Closed

What's open and closed in the Lower Macungie area on tomorrow's federal holiday.

 

In observance of Columbus Day, here is what's open and closed Monday, Oct. 8.

Macungie and Lower Macungie Township municipal offices are open. (Regular trash schedule.)

Schools: East Penn School District, St. Ann School and Seven Generations Charter School are closed. 

Lehigh County Courthouse is open. 

Lehigh County Government offices are open.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportationdriver's license and photo centers are closed. (Online services are available. www.dmv.state.pa.us)

Pennsylvania Liquor stores are open.

Federal offices are closed. 

State offices are closed.

Post offices are closed, and there will be no regular mail pick up or delivery. 

Retail: Most retail and entertainment establishments are open today.

Banks: Many, but not all, are closed.

Another day for banks to charge you interest and deny access to your money while the bankers take the day off, if I have to explain what a bank holiday is, you really are a half wit. this jerk didn't discover a damn thing, it was always here. this is just a reason to deny you access to your hard earned money while the bankers rip you off. put that in your pipe and smoke it.

The only reason this is a holiday is because Roosevelt decided he needed the Italian immigrant vote

Their website says Lower Macungie offices are closed.
