Shooting Death Ruled Suicide in Lower Macungie [UPDATE]

Lehigh County coroner says the manner of a death at a Brookstone Drive home was a suicide.

Monday morning's death in Lower Macungie Township at the location of a reported shooting fatality has been ruled a suicide, according to the Lehigh County coroner.

Coroner Scott Grim said Monday evening that a 32-year-old woman from Drexel Hill, Delaware County, was pronounced dead in an incident at 1698 Brookstone Drive. He ruled  the manner of death a suicide, but declined to offer further details.

Earlier in the day, state police Lt. Paul Gaspich confirmed that a shooting death had occurred at the residence. Yellow police tape outlined a police investigation perimeter at the townhome in the Heritage Heights development.

A report released Tuesday morning by state police at Fogelsville estimated the time of the suicide between 8:45 and 9:30 a.m. Police also said the woman lived at that address even though the coroner's office said she lived in Drexel Hill, Delaware County.

I wasn't trying to offend anyone - this was very upsetting to me as well and I am saddened of the loss for the families involved, it is tragic. I was very upset by the news when I heard last night. The article just didn't give much information and I don't think inquiring on more info was doing anything wrong. I am as well a part of this community. I wasn't inquiring for how and why - I was inquiring on the who.... there are many various rumors going on in the neighborhood and it is sad. I don't appreciate the above remarks and assumptions of my inquiry.

What sad news. I live very close to them. It is horrible to think that I may have had a conversation while walking the Dog with her and never known. I do agree with you Felicia. Living this close to the tragedy does spark some anxiety and natural curiosity. I too would like to know who this happened to. From my perspective, it causes suspicious thoughts. It is not typical of a woman to take her life in such a way. It is also not typical to turn around the cause of death so quickly. I am so sorry for all affected by this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.

I just heard about this. I was so upset to think that as I was going on with my Monday am routine and someone so close was going through complete turmoil and the unthinkable was about to happen. My condolensces for the loss the families and loved ones have suffered. I live on Pinewind in close proximity to this home. Perhaps I am confused but I didn't believe the gentleman who lived here was married ? I had spoken several times to his previous girlfriend who had lived there but she has been gone for quite some time. I also have never seen a dog. The previous girlfriend did have a dog, a min pin I believe. I find it odd since the yard is fenced. Maybe she only walked the dog out front ? The adjacent homes have pets. From my view, the home always seemed dark and with very little activity, as if no one was home or they worked late. I also have never seen anyone creeping through the yards late at night... but he could have been super sneaky... And Connie and Gil, hearing something like this does spark curiosity and inquiry, of oh my goodness, how terrible, what happened ? It seems a normal reaction to try and find out the story. Just like you are doing by obviously reading this story, following it and it's posts. Connie, your last response to fellow neighbors was quite ignornat, sarcastic and disrespctful. You say about the community coming together and you treat fellow neighbors with such disrespect.

How can too much information be hazardous? is the name of the victim Leanne Jarman? I don't think she was married though to Vincent.

I agree Heritage Heights Neighbor, I think Connie was disrespectful as well. I don't think the victim had a dog. Oh, and what the heck is a "happy walk??" as Connie described she goes on? She seems odd.

@Heritage - Yeah, it was rude but funny because it was super crazy. In addition, it is funny that she remains silent now. Maybe she already reflected?????

You all should just stop gossiping. The woman involved was an amazing person and you no clue the details of her life that led to this. And her fiancé was NOT having an affair. She was my best friend that I have known since we were 13 years old. These comments are hurtful and insensitive and you are leaving them out there for everyone to see. Please just stop.

Just because you were best friends with her, doesn't mean you know what goes on behind closed doors. How do you know for certain he wasn't having an affair? Are you with Vince 24/7??? Doesn't mean you know everything, even if she was your so called best friend.

There was no fucking gun powder residue ANYWHERE but her head... Maybe that should raise a suspicion or two, and if the family wasn't do far up Vince's ass bc they are grieving that they would hire a PI. 98% of suicides occur with 1. Drugs 2. With a letter or cry out for help. No person had happy as we all knew her goes out n shoots her fucking temples out. Enough said.

Wow maybe Vince was having an affair. If I were the family I would investigate further.

Seriously people! A woman lost her life and obvioulsy some of you have nothing better to do than to assume you know what happened. Why all the negativity, how about posting something to the family offering your condolences. JJ - your post is just horrible - shame on you!!!

Perhaps JJ is trying to help the family, and perhaps it wasn't a suicide.

The affair comment would make sense though...she was away Saturday night and if she came home Sunday and found incriminating evidence, then they would have fought about it all day Sunday...still fighting Monday morning as he leaves for work and then kills herself...that would make sense that there wasn't a note because she knows that he would know why she did it.

But that wouldn't explain why there was no gun residue found on her hand (if that is true). Sorry, just playing conspiracy theorist here as I am one of her many friends who are still absolutely shocked and saddened by this. We are all in the dark as to why and searching for answers...someone knows something or has a clue as to why. All who knew her knew she loved her family/friends to much to do this unless something drastic happened in which someone would know about it...

Her family seems to be very supportive of him so maybe they do know. Maybe there was a note?

I hear from friends that are friends with the rest of her family that the family doesn't believe she would have done this to herself so that makes me believe there was no note and they don't have a reason why...

You guys are missing Connie's point! I also live on pinewind. And also being very immature! "Coo coo Connie" and " loons" i mean seriously are we all immature?! Why dont you guys post your names, who are u people? too immature to post names!? Wow such mature people! Instead of being such nosey neighbors, maybe you should be a little more supportive and repesctful of people's business. It's not anyone's business to know all the details of the suicide. You people need to stop the gossip, rumors, and talking about it, there's no reason you should be focusing on who, what, where, when, why, or how this happened! This was a tragic death and I'm very sorry to hear about it, but these nosey neighbors need to stop there gossiping!

LisaM, why not state your full name on here? And why not ask why JJ'S is hiding behind initials? Oh, because you both suck and have no clue what you are talking about. Just bored and need something to talk about to make you feel better about your own pathetic existence?

First my prayers and thoughts go out to the family and loved ones im so sorry for your loss. Second i cant believe how insensitive and reckless some of these comments are. They are full of innuendos and accusations without facts to back them up. Heck one person even claims to know where gun powder residue was or was'nt. If these people commenting really are neighbors they better hope not to many people read this article because if they do property values will really start dropping.
