East Penn School District recently added another green feather to its cap, being recognized as the “greenest” Lehigh Valley school district by the Delaware Valley Green Building Council Lehigh Valley Branch, according to The Morning Call.  

The honor, bestowed at a November luncheon, singles East Penn out for its use of sustainable programs in its facilities management and for the creation of green educational programs for students.

East Penn has been growing greener by the day, most notably in its efforts to go paperless district-wide, which has meant everything from an entirely electronic school calendar, to online report cards and electronic registration for East Penn community education classes.
