Lights, Camera ... Alburtis!
DVD premieres that chronicles borough's history.
It was Saturday Night at the Movies in Alburtis and the borough doesn't even have a movie theater.
The Alburtis-Lockridge Historical Society premiered its "Alburtis, Over 100 Years of Memories" DVD for about 50, who braved stormy weather to see the 32-minute presentation of the borough's history. Highlights focused on settlers of the area, the East Pennsylvania Railroad, churches, schools, and businesses and industry, including Lock Ridge Furnace.
The DVD is on sale for $20 at First Star Bank, 11 N. Main St., or Borough Hall.
