Quarry Park in Lower Mac was beginning to flood around 3 p.m. Oct. 29, 2012 before Hurricane Sandy even really hit.
One week later, Nov. 4, 2012, the swale at Quarry Park is dry, but a large section of tree has toppled to the ground following the storm.

The Oels family burns limbs Nov. 4, 2012 from an evergreen that toppled Oct. 29 in their yard at 37 W. School St. in Alburtis. The Oels estimate the tree to be more than 30 years old and say it was 80 to 90 feet tall.

One week later, Hurricane Sandy is a memory for those in the East Penn area.

Although it is a memory that won't soon leave most of us, the area has been able to move past the lost power, uprooted trees and closed roads for the most part.

Although some of those situations linger -- now, one week later -- residents have for the most part returned to their routines.
