Online Thief Racks Up $837.94 Bill, Police Say

Lower Macungie PayPal user has two fishing poles he didn't buy charged to his account, troopers report.

 

An cyber thief went trolling recently and reeled in two fishing rods at a Lower Macungie Township man's expense, according to police.

Brian David Miller of 1544 Oak Drive was a victim of access device theft, according to state police at Fogelsville.  Miller reported that his PayPal account had been compromised on Jan. 31.

The thief bought two fishing rods valued at $837.94, police said -- unfortunately, a nice catch at Miller's expense.
