Peeing Macungie Council Member Absent From Meeting
Linn Walker did not attend the Macungie Council meeting Monday just days after he was charged with open lewdness.
Macungie Council member Linn Walker, who Macungie Police said Saturday would be charged with open lewdness for urinating on a neighbor's porch, did not attend Monday's council meeting at which some expected he would resign.
Walker said Saturday that the incident was a "wake up call" not to urinate outside ad that "It's time to step down and get out of the spotlight."
He also said he would resign from the borough's planning board.
Council President Jean Nagle said she had spoken with Walker, but that she has seen no letter of resignation.
Though Walker is a public figure, Nagle said the incident was Walker's personal matter, and that it does not involve or affect council.
She added that by law council cannot require Walker to resign since the episode was a misdemeanor.
By law, if Walker tenders his resignation, council will have 30 days to fill his seat.

Why wouldn't he be absent? The Mayor set the idea that is how you handle conflict, didn't he? This guy should be embarrassed. He's a representative of Macungie and I for one am appalled of his actions. It's time to cut the cord and resign. The quicker the better. What are these guys getting on the side that they want to hang on to their jobs when everyone else thinks they should quit?

I'm sorry...peeing "outside" is one thing (like in the woods when you are camping) but peeing on your neighbors porch is disgusting and tasteless! Time to resign!

Appears that Jean Nagle and chris Boehm are involved trying to get wee-wee Walker to reconsider or at least hold off his resignation to give themselves more time to get one of their cronies ready to take his place before the 30 day clock starts.

My God, what kind of a Borough do you have? Cops make it "ticket-town," so we never patronize businesses, Mayor a constant controversy, & this guy pisses on persons porch?
Makes me much happier to have the problems we have in Allentown.

I to am appalled. I actually spoke to Lynn Walker today at approximatly !:20 P.M. and when I asked him if he submitted a letter of resignation to the Boro ,he explained to me that he was advised by some Board Members NOT TO RESIGN . He also said , he had recieved calls from some citizens and they also asked him NOT TO RESIGN . I hope the GOOD citizens of Macungie remember what is going on when it is time to go to the POLES in the next Election . Mr. Walker you said it was Time to Step Down and as I said earlier YOU ALWAYS HAVE A MAN OF YOUR WORD ,so please keep your WORD and RESIGN IMMEDIATELY IF NOT SOONER .

James , I must say I agree with you . Whenever the people give a person in their town the Prevlidge to serve on Council or Mayor that individuale needs to act responsible . Lynn Walker did not act RESPONSIBLE , the fact is he was DRUNK ,
CHARGED WITH OPEN LEWDNESS FOR URINATING ON HIS NEIGHBORS PORCH IN FRONT OF HER CHILDREN AND THAT HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE. I went to see Mr. Walker on Tuesday, when he didn't resign Monday night
when I asked he why he didn't ,he informed me that a few members of the Council told him that he shouldn't resign because it was only a misdemeaner and also. some people from around town said the same thing but of course he would not give names . Mr. Walker, I am asking you to do the right thing and PLEASE RESIGN .
