The Lehigh County Coroner was called to a two-vehicle accident this afternoon on Route 22, between the Cetronia Road exit and the turnpike interchange in Upper Macungie, near the South Whitehall border.

State police at Fogelsville said one person was killed in the 1:30 p.m. crash in the eastbound lanes of Route 22. 

The accident involved a commercial vehicle and a passenger vehicle, state police said.
