Police Scanner: Deer Leaps Through Windshield Injuring Passenger
Passenger is not seriously injured in Lower Macungie Township crash, troopers say.
Two area women might have thought they were in the middle of a Halloween horror display when a deer came crashing through their windshield late Oct. 31 on a Lower Macungie Township roadway, according to emergency scanner reports.
Passenger Olivia C. DiTullio, 21, of Allentown received minor injuries, according to state police at Fogelsville. A scanner transmission indicated the injuries were facial cuts.
According to police, Faro V. Evola, 23, of Wescosville was driving east on Indian Creek Road just east of Macungie Road at 11:58 p.m. when the deer jumped in front of her vehicle. Evola was able to bring her Mazda Miata to a controlled stop.
The police report did not indicate it, but scanner transmissions said the deer came through the windshield.
Macungie Ambulance Corps transported DiTullio to a nearby hospital, police said.

Hopefully they are okay. Had enough deer collisions and those animals keep me off the road at night.
