Ron Eichenberg Endorsed by Rep. Ryan Mackenzie
State Rep. endorses Ron Eichenberg's bid for re-election.
Lower Macungie Township Commissioner President Ron Eichenberg, who announced Wednesday that he will seek re-election in November has been endorsed by State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie.
"Ron has a keen awareness of the issues and a sincere desire to work on behalf of all residents in Lower Macungie," Mackenzie said as part of the announcement of Eichenberg's intention to run.
"I am pleased to support and endorse him for re-election to the Board of Commissioners," Mackenzie said.
So far, Eichenberg and two other candidates have announced interest in running for the township board of commissioners: Ron Beitler and Brian Higgins.
The Primary Election is scheduled for May 21.

Uh, so what. Ryan is doing his smelly duty as a Republican State rep.

Ron Eichenberg is lucky to have Ryan Mackenzie's endorsement. Mackenzie is doing some great work in the state legislature and around the district. Great to have him representing Lower Macungie Township!

Pretty disappointed in this. I will not be voting for Eichenberg... "Ron has a keen awareness of the issues and a sincere desire to work on behalf of all residents in Lower Macungie," is a pretty vague endorsement. Makes you wonder if Mackenzie understands the issues in LMT at all.
How can you say Eichenberg who is President of the board and sets the agenda is "keenly aware" of issues when he presides over a board that allowed an elementary school to open and operate without a 15 mph school zone for 2 years. I agree he has a sincere desire. A sincere desire to make alot money of zoning changes.

I agree, I will not be voting for Eichenberg, as I made this mistake the first time. I am a combat vet from Afghanistan, and the elader has to take repsonsbilty for happens in the township. There is enough "buzz" about the zoning changes to make any voter take pause...

Sorry guys for the terrible spelling, spell-check took a vacation on this machine tonight... my comments are “a leader should take responsbility for what happens on his watch... I am referring to the "butchering" of trees along Sauerkraut Lane by PPL. When standing toe to toe with this guy last week, he took no responsibility at all... need I say more?
