Slingshot Catapults MarblesThrough Windows, Police Say
Marbles catapulted by slingshot shatter window on vehicle and home in Lower Macungie, troopers say.
When was the last time you saw a kid with a slingshot?
While your answer may be, "Not in years," if you saw anyone with a slingshot in the overnight hours of Oct. 20 along Lower Macungie Road in Lower Macungie Township, state police would like to know.
Seems the outdated weapon of choice of mischievous juveniles such as Dennis the Menace is out of style, but someone pulled one of these little trouble-makers from the back of a closet and shot some marbles with it, according to state police at Fogelsville. It isn't known how many marbles were fired, but two found windows in the 4900 block of Lower Macungie Road.
Police said that one shattered the window of a residence, and another took out a car window at the same address. The criminal mischief incident occurred between 10 p.m. Oct. 19 and 6 a.m. Oct. 20. No value was placed on the loss.
