State Police Release Lower Macungie Incidents

State police at Fogelsville reported the following recent incidents in Lower Macungie Township:
Theft by deception: Reported June 27 by an 85-year-old Timberknoll Drive woman; victim was told she had won a sweepstakes and on two occasions sent an undisclosed amount of money transfers via Western Union to two different people, police said; she called police when she received a third call requesting additional money.
Criminal mischief: Reported July 27 at 11:47 p.m. outside 1431 Mohr Circle; victim heard loud bang outside residence and found plastic bottle that had exploded liquid on his front porch, police said; no damage noted.
Charged: Jarrod S. Ramer, 20, of Emmaus; July 26 with driving too fast for conditions following motor vehicle accident at 5:05 p.m. along Route 29 south of Covert Road; Ramer failed to stop his Acura and crashed into a GMC Acadia operated by Tracy McFillin, 36, of Macungie; her vehicle was pushed into a Pontiac Vibe driven by Dorene L. Miller, 59 of Emmaus; no reported injuries.
Criminal mischief: Reported about 10:10 p.m. July 30 at 5664 Wood Lane; Marie Ann Scheetz said she was sitting in her dining room and heard a crash and saw her sliding glass door was shattered, police said; no one was seen and no value given.
