State Police Release Lower Macungie Incidents
The following information was supplied by troopers at the barracks in Fogelsville. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
State police at Fogelsville reported the following recent incidents in Lower Macungie Township:
Theft: Reported by Giuseppe Mannino of Italiano Delight, 1985 Brookside Road; 24 each of conduit pipes and PVC pipes reported taken June 14 from a lot to the rear of the restaurant, police said; $250 value.
Identity theft: Reported recently by Brenda Lynn Mathew; her Social Security number was used to buy a cellular phone through AT&T, police said; $372 value.
Burglary: Reported June 7 at Leibensperger Transportation, 3096 Route 100; someone broke into fenced area, entered shed and removed unspecified items, police said; no value given.
Charged: Sarah Phillips, 26, of New Tripoli; June 11 with retail theft at Wal-Mart, 1091 Millcreek Road; concealed items in her purse valued at $54, police said.
Theft from motor vehicle: Reported June 8 in the 7100 block of Linden Road; three vehicles entered and two wallets, a toolbox and bottle of cologne were taken, police said; two vehicles were unlocked and the third was forcibly entered.
Theft from motor vehicle: Reported June 12 on Walnut Street; unlocked vehicle entered and $615 worth of cash and merchandise taken, police said.
Charged: Randal Spaits, 52, and Joseph Spaits, 28, no address given; June 17 with retail theft at Wal-Mart, 1091 Millcreek Road; attempted to take $63 in merchandise without paying, police said; both processed at Central Booking in Allentown.
Charged: Corinne R. Bishop, 19, of Macungie with making an improper turn following a June 16 accident at 2:10 p.m. at Route 222 and Kressler Road; police said she turned her Ford Taurus in front of a Chrysler driven by Catherine R. Parkkila of Center Valley; minor injuries sustained by both drivers as well as passenger Brianna T. Ziegler.
