Three Charged in Lower Macungie Fight

Mother checking on argument in alley is punched in face, police say.

An argument Christmas Day in a Lower Macungie Township alley escalated into a shoving match that led to at least one punch when a family member tried to intervene, according to police.

State police at Fogelsville did not note any injuries but reported that three of those involved were charged in District Court.

Events began about 1:40 p.m. with an argument between Jereemy John Lick, 29, and William D. Capwell Jr., 42, in the alley behind 5701 N. Walnut St., police said. The argument led to the two pushing and shoving.

Marlene M. Capwell, 62, left her residence nearby to check on her son. As she approached the altercation, police said, Meliss Sue Kleckner, 31, punched Marlene Capwell in the face.

Summary harassment charges were filed against Kleckner, Lick and William Capwell, police said.
