Gingerbread Houses, Breakfast with Santa, Kids Crafts and more set for MACUNGIE HOLIDAY

This year’s Macungie Holiday scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 am – 3 pm will feature activities and events for the entire family.

A great way to start the day is by attending “Breakfast with Santa” at Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main Street from 9 – 11 am  featuring pancakes & sausage.  Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.  You can also take your own photos with “Santa” or “Manger Scene.”

Macungie Christian Community, 126 S. Church St. will have free cookies & hot chocolate and a free craft for kids.  There will also be story time:  “God Gave Us Christmas.”

Solomon’s United Church of Christ, 82 S. Church St. will also have complimentary hot chocolate & cookies and children’s crafts.  AND they will have chili, chicken corn soup, cherry pies & baked goods for sale in the Auditorium of the Macungie Institute.

Kalmbach Memorial Park will showcase an amazing display of gingerbread houses from their 9th Annual gingerbread House Competition held this year.  The gingerbread houses will be on display in the Kalmbach Memorial Park Barn – it is definitely worth the trip to see the creativity and imagination of the gingerbread house creators.  There will also be free Face Painting with a “Gingerbread Man” theme.

Children 12 yrs. old and younger are invited to decorate a Christmas stocking or hat at the Macungie Fire Department, 31 S. Walnut Street from 10:30 am – 3 pm.

The Macungie Fire Company will sponsor a Party with Santa from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm with cookies & juice in the Fire Company Hall, 31 S. Walnut St.

Coral’s Academy of Dance will offer two FREE performances of “Nutcracker Highlights” at noon & 2 pm in the Auditorium of Eyer Middle School, 5616 Buckeye Rd.
