Ever wished you could become fluent in a second language? Maybe you have a vacation or business trip coming up to another country, or you have a job where knowing additional languages is a vital to your work. Or maybe you’re looking for a new job and know that would make you more marketable. Whatever your reason, Lower Macungie Library is pleased to announce that we now offer the Mango Languages online language-learning system to our patrons.
Learning a new language with Mango Languages is free for all patrons, and offers a fast and convenient solution for our community’s increasing language-learning needs. Each lesson combines real life situations and audio from native speakers with simple, clear instructions. There are more than 40 language courses available and 16 English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. Patrons can also take advantage of Mango Languages mobile apps for Android and iPhone to access your course wherever you go.
To find out more information, go here. You can browse Mango’s course offerings without creating an account, but in order to track your learning progress, you’ll need to have an account.
The library will host a Mango Language kick-off from 1:00PM to 3:00PM on March 15th; stay tuned for more details as we get closer. Staff will be available to show you how Mango works and to answer any questions about the language system, and a raffle prize will be awarded to one lucky participant.
In the meantime, you can access Mango through the library website at www.lowermaclib.org or contact the library if you should have any questions at 610-966-6864.
