In the Jaindl decision that the township solicitor and officials gloated about.... the courts ruled that essentially "too much information in a public notice can confuse residents".... to me thats insulting. If thats the case I'll blog, knock on doors, run for office.. whatever I need to do to make sure never again is a "jaindl" type rezoning done without the public knowing.

To be clear the requested change is to Commercial or Highway Commercial. I hope to get the details tonight and will update. Either way it's likely outcome is strip malls or gas stations. Residents I spoke to do not want that. Some are resigned to the fact something is going to be built here, but everyone agrees there are much better alternatives to strip development. We have too many strips with vacancies already.

Hi Rico, I would very much love to see a Lowes or Home depot in the township. I feel as though the appropriate location is the 222 corridor. The by-pass was built to handle the traffic of big box retail. I'm not anti growth. I'm pro-smart growth. Put things where they make the most sense. I want to see a Lowes in our township. I just want to see it in the right place.
