Three Emmaus youths were injured -- the driver moderately -- on March 17 in a two-vehicle traffic accident in Lower Macungie Township in which their car rolled onto its side, police said. Two people from Kutztown were injured recently in a two-vehicle accident in Lower Macungie Township, according to police. The crash occurred when a Chevrolet Blazer driven by Tricia D. McDonald, 20, of Allentown pulled out in front of the car driven by the Kutztown man about 4:30 p.m. March 5, according to state police at Fogelsville. McDonald stopped at a stop sign at N. Troopers are looking for the driver of a black 1997 Dodge Dakota pickup truck following a recent hit-and-run accident in Lower Macungie Township, police said. The crash occurred at 5:50 p.m. Feb. 15 at Lower Macungie and Millrace roads, according to state police at Fogelsville. A car driven by Robert Davies, 71, of Emmaus was traveling west on Lower Macungie Road, police said. The car driven by Ian Wetherhold, 18, of Macungie was following. Alcohol likely played a role recently when a Breinigsville man drove off a Lower Macungie roadway and struck a utility pole, according to police. Kalman W. Konya, 27, fell asleep at the wheel at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 5 as he drove in the area of 6776 Hamilton Blvd., according to state police at Fogelsville. Konya's 1999 Dodge Stratus drifted off the right shoulder. His vehicle continued about 120 feet before the rear of his car hit a utility pole, police said. A 19-year-old "driver" received an ambulance ride and a "calling card" to remember his skateboard ride by late last month in Lower Macungie Township, according to police. Devon P. Jacobus of Macungie was moderately injured Nov. 28 when he was struck on his skateboard by a vehicle.
