The people have spoken. But some people said very different things than others. Even though Tuesday's election indicates the Obama-Biden ticket has won four more years in the White House, the people of Lower Macungie Patch said something very different. Local unofficial totals show another winner: 10,113 Lower Macungie Patch voters cast ballots for Romney-Ryan and 8,086 for Obama-Biden.
A line of 40 people had formed this morning as the polls opened in Macungie Memorial Park, the borough's only polling place. If it's your place to vote, you have until 8 p.m. to cast your ballot there.
Today's Election Day Experience Around Lower Macungie Patch * Forty people were in line when the polls opened this morning at Macungie Memorial Park. It was cold, but they all waited. Robin Hamilton said it took about 20 minutes to vote at that time. * Darla Malik of Macungie said she was asked for ID, but didn't really need it. If an online political quiz is accurate, more Pennsylvanians align with the viewpoints of Libertarian Gary Johnson than Republican candidate Mitt Romney in the presidential election. According to a quiz on ISideWith.com, 48 percent of its participants from Georgia as of Sept. 17 have views that match those of Johnson; 52 percent matched President Barrack Obama and 37 percent matched Republican Mitt Romney. More than 3.1 million people nationwide have participated, according to the web site, which pitches the quiz as a way for voters to find their candidate for the November election. The quiz…
