 honoring the legacy of Ben Yorgey and generating funds for graduating hi
 gh school students with special needs across the Lehigh Valley.&nbsp\; B

 , Ben Yorgey Foundation exists to make a positive impact\, an impact Ben

 established in order to raise money to support our goals.&nbsp\; The ann
 ual vehicle for raising resources is THE BEN EVENT. The event is held in
  July of each year - Friday\, July 20 and Saturday\, July 21 this year -
  at Macungie Memorial Park.&nbsp\;\nActivities for The Ben Event include
  a "Friday Night Kick-Off\," a 5K race\, the 1-mile Fun Walk\, Breakfast
  In The Park\, Ben's Block Party\, sports events for athletes with speci
 al needs\, a &ldquo\;Wheels of Time&rdquo\; Cruise Night\, Chinese Aucti
 on&nbsp\;... AND LOTS MORE!\nThe Friday Night Kick-Off on July 20\, 2012
  begins at 5:30 p.m. with pregame activities including softball team war
 m-ups\, Jolly Holly the Clown\, t-shirt launches and more.&nbsp\; The Sp
 ecial Olympics softball game begins at 6:00 p.m. featuring athletes from
  Lehigh County.&nbsp\;The first ball will be thrown by WFMZ Sports Direc
 tor Troy Hein\, who will serve as the evening&rsquo\;s master of ceremon
 ies when the action shifts to the Bandshell at 7:15 p.m. Featured will b
 e guest speakers\, local dignitaries\, and recipients of the Ben Yorgey 
 Memorial Awards. The Large Flowerheads will take the stage at 8 p.m.\, w
 ith a repertoire of classic rock from the 60&rsquo\;s.\nWe are looking f
 or your support to make The Ben Event a success.&nbsp\;Volunteer\, parti
 cipation\, donation&nbsp\;and sponsorship opportunities are available.&n
