Weigh-in on Costco Project Land Development Tuesday

Two items on the Lower Macungie Township Planning Commission's agenda for Tuesday night relate to Hamilton Crossings land development issues.

The Lower Macungie Township Planning Commission will consider Hamilton Crossings Land Development on Tuesday, with both Northwest/East Land Development and Southwest Development on the meeting agenda posted on the township website.

Commissioner-elect Ron Beitler encourages township citizens to pay attention to the meeting, calling land development in a blog post on Lower Macungie Patch "the public's final chance to weigh in on the proposed mega shopping center" anchored by Costco.

In the post Beitler describes himself as a supporter of the Hamilton Crossings project, but says he wants to make sure that the township is getting what the developer "promised and not a watered down strip mall version."

The Planning Commission meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Wescosville Recreation Center.
