A portion of Macungie Road is scheduled for work on Friday, according to the Lower Macungie Township website, and drivers should expect to delays.

Lower Macungie Township will be doing road work on Macungie Road on Friday, if the weather cooperates, according to the township website. And, the National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with a high near 51 degrees, so things are looking good.

In other roadwork news, the township website says that the track repairs being done by Norfolk Southern Railroad at the Schoeneck Road railroad crossing should be finished on Friday. The railroad crossing has been closed to thru traffic since Monday.

Also, work continues on Gehman & Orchard Road within The Hills at Lockridge area. That construction, which includes widening, overlay and guide rails, began on Nov. 1 and is expected to continue until Nov. 30, 2013, the website says.
