Five Egg-Citing Ways to Celebrate Easter

Easter is upon us, so lace up that bonnet and grab a basket. There's a bunny who needs a hug.

Okay, so there are six. Nobody complains about getting more, right?

Holidays with the fam are prime memory-makers, and this weekend is no exception. There are eggs to be found, bunnies' laps to be sat on and candy to be consumed. Seriously, you could saddle up the tennies and make the circuit.

Consider these when you're planning your weekend:

1. DaVinci Science Center is planning some "EggSCItement" with its annual egg drop challenge in which visitors try to cushion an egg enough so that it doesn't break when dropped from the center's balcony and roof. Additionally, the center is planning egg golf, egg cup blowing, egg-bot decorating and baby chick hatching.

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 6, 7 and 9. DaVinci Science Center is closed April 8.

Pricing: Most activities are covered by admission: adults, $11.95; children (4-12), $8.95; toddlers, free; seniors (62+), $8.95 and active or veteran members of the military, $8.95. There is a $2 per egg charge for egg-bot decorating.

2. features hunts for five age groups and prizes for numbered eggs.

3. will be sponsored by the Macungie Town Beautification Committee. Parents, grandparents and others wanting photos of a child or pet with the Easter Bunny should bring a camera.

4. , open to all, is hosted by St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lower Mac. The hunt is rain or shine and kids aged 2 to 10 are welcome.  Bring a basket and have an EGGcellent time!
