Gas Prices Continue to Fall, Slowly

Find the cheapest gas in Macungie.

So far, so good: Gasoline prices are relatively stable in this first month of 2013, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

Daily fluctuations in price have not exceeded a penny so far in 2013. Last January, the daily average moved by a penny or more nine times, including two increases of more than three cents per gallon.

Here, gas prices fell slightly in Macungie over the week by 2 cents, which is  1 cent lower than a year ago.

Similarly, the price per gallon in Pennsylvania is also down – again by about 2 cents – since last week. The national average price of a gallon of self-serve regular is $3.316, while the average locally is $3.456.

Nearby, the cheapest price for regular is $3.41 at the Turkey Hill in Macungie and both Lower Macungie Wawas.

If you spotted a better price, tell us in comments.

2/6/13 - Exxon/Mobil reported last quarter most profittable in their history, as gas prices that should be circa $1.40 have gone from $3.50 to $3.70 in last 10 days. Have we given up protesting.
