Detour Ahead: Route 100 RR Crossing to Close Friday Night
The railroad crossing on Route 100 in Macungie will be closed from Friday night through Monday morning for repairs by Norfolk Southern.
The Borough of Macungie wants area residents to know that the Route 100 railroad crossing will be closed beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20 through Monday, Sept. 23 at 6 a.m.
Norfolk Southern will perform repair work on the westbound tracks and roadway surface, according to an written release from Borough Manager Chris Boehm. The detour route is Willow Lane to Sauerkraut Lane to Brookside Road.
Arrangements have been made for emergency services, Boehm says.
