Have You Seen Jessie?

This newly adopted dog got out of her harness at her Lower Macungie Township home on Saturday and ran toward East Texas Road. Her owners are desperately trying to find her.

“I am begging for everyone's help... we adopted a sweet dog today and she got out of her harness. She is mostly black with two different colored eyes and goes by the name of Jessie.”

Sheila Bridget Wilk-Vilaplana posted this heartfelt plea on the Lower Macungie Patch Facebook page on Saturday and Jessie had still not been located by about 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

“We have been looking for hours for her. She went in the direction of Day Timers/East Texas Road,” Wilk-Vilaplana continues. “We live on Town Square Drive and she got out of our back yard and bolted in that direction. She is timid but does respond to her name. If you find her please please, please let us know.

“I am totally devastated so please help us find her!!!!” Wilk-Vilaplana writes.

Wilk-Vilaplana was out looking for Jessie until about midnight on Saturday and got up and continued the search at 6 a.m. on Sunday. She began posting and distributing fliers on Sunday too.

Jessie is not wearing any ID because she was just adopted on Saturday. She is described by Wilk-Vilaplana in a later Facebook post as “very skittish” and Wilk-Vilaplana says she will probably not come to anyone.
