LVCART Opens Second Emergency Animal Shelter

Lehigh Valley County Animal Response Team opens a second emergency animal shelter in Salisbury Township.

The Lehigh Valley County Animal Response Team (LVCART) has opened its second emergency animal shelter at Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department, 3425 Eisenhower Ave.

The first shelter at 2120 City Line Road, Bethlehem, remains open and is within close proximity to the American Red Cross shelter. This is a regional shelter for both Lehigh and Northampton counties.

Residents who must evacuate their homes and have no place to take their pets may shelter them at this location.

Please provide enough food for a week, medications with directions, and vaccination records if available. Additional supplies such as treats, blankets, toys, etc., will be comforting to your pet and help to make them feel safe, so include them, too.
