Update: Minesite and Spring Creek Roads Reopened

Sunday's heavy rains flooded several areas.

Officials at PennDOT have reopened the following roads in and around Lower Macungie Township following heavy rains that caused their closure earlier today:

  • Minesite/Schantz Road between PA 29/Cedar Crest Boulevard and Cetronia Road in Lower and Upper Macungie townships;
  • Mill Creek/Spring Creek Road between Trexlertown and Lower Macungie roads in Lower Macungie Township.

"PennDOT warns motorists not to drive across roads covered with water because the water may be deeper than it looks. Motorists who encounter water covered roads are encouraged to turn around and seek an alternate route."
