Whiz Kids

Shooting hoops is the fuel for the Lower Macungie Youth Association Flames' fire.

Name:  Lower Macungie Youth Association Flames

Schools:  Willow Lane, Shoemaker, Macungie and Alburtis elementary schools.

Accomplishments:  These third- and fourth-grade girls are the 2011 League Basketball Champions with an undefeated 16-0 record.  In the March 5 championship game, Libbey Michaelis scored the winning basket to break a tie... with less than 20 seconds left to play to win it for her team!
