Emmaus Student, 16, is Classical Guitar Champ

Peter Zarrillo, 16, of Emmaus took first place in the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Competition, high school division, which was held April 14 at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia.

The competition is sponsored by the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society.

A son of Michelle and Lino Zarrillo, Peter is a ninth-grader at the Emmaus Baptist Academy. He studies guitar with Ted Williams, former guitar professor at Temple University College of Music who teaches at the Macungie Music Studios.
