This weekend we have a ham and dandelion dinner, President Lincoln in Bethlehem, homemade Easter candy and the fruit of the vine.

1. Ham & Dandelion Dinner

When/Where: Seatings at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. April 16 at Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 5187 Irwin Road, Slatington.

Why go: Ham and dandelion is a tradtional Pennsylvania German favorites, and there are not very many of them around anymore.

When/Where: 7:30 p.m. April 16 in Lock Ridge Church, Church and Franklin streets, Alburtis.

Why go: The Alburtis-Lock Ridge Historical Society has produced a DVD, "Alburtis, Over 100 Years of Memories," which premiers with a free showing. Up to now, there hasn't been a collection of Alburtis history all in one place.

Pricing: The showing is free. After it, the DVD can be purchased for $20 , 11 N. Main St., or .

3. Bethlehem Civil War Encampent

When/ Where: Parade begins at 10 a.m. April 16 along Main Street, Bethlehem. The entourage then proceeds to Downtown Bethlehem's Colonial Industrial Quarter through the end of the event at 4 p.m. April 17.

Why go: Because President Abraham Lincoln himself will be there amid artillary and medical demostrations, a Victorian Secrets fashion show, music and a movie, "Glory," which will be shown at 8 p.m. in the Sun Inn Courtyard.

Pricing: Adults, $5; Children, $3.

4. Wine Maker Tour

When/ Where: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 16 at Vynecrest Vineyards and Winery, 172 Arrowhead Lane, Breinigsville.

Why go: This weekend kicks off the 2011 vineyard tour season. Early spring tours include looking at how the vines have weathered the winter and what Vynecrest has  done to prepare them for the 2011 growing season.

Pricing: $5 per person. Reservations are suggested.

5. Homemade Easter Candy Sale

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 16 at Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1 Luther Lane, Trumbauersville.

Why go: Because there will be some serious chocolate going on, and lots of other goodies, too.

Pricing: Depends on how many Easter baskets you have to fill.
