Extreme weather Jan 2-3

Reposted from a Macungie PD alert -- A winter weather and extreme cold weather advisory has been issued. In addition to the predicted snow accumulation temperatures are expected to be around zero or below. Wind chill factors are expected to be between 15 to 25 degrees below zero. If you must travel, it is advised that you carry emergency equipment in your vehicle such as flashlight, blanket, food, etc. It is also advised to keep your gas tank filled. If travel is not absolutely necessary, you are advised to stay indoors and off the roads.

If you or anyone you know may be experiencing difficulty due to the extreme cold, it is recommended that you contact the borough office or the police department for assistance.
