Gas Prices in Macungie Area Continue to Drop

Gas prices are down across the country this week and the 18062 zip code is no exception.

Attention Macungie drivers: we’ve got good news and then even better news for you when it comes to filling up your gas tank this week.

Prices nationally are still dropping. Prices in Pennsylvania are down too. And, they're expected to keep dropping as we approach the holidays.

According to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report, the national average for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline fell .4 cents from a week ago to $3.24 and the Pennsylvania average dropped 2.5 cents to $3.323 per gallon.

The Lehigh Valley average is on-par with the rest of the state, falling 2.2 cents since last week and hitting $3.283 per gallon.

Now for the really good news: Gas prices in the 18062 zip code are even better, with two filling stations offering prices 5 cents below the Lehigh Valley average price on Tuesday afternoon, according to gasbuddy.com.

Both the Wawa at 3321 Willow Lane & Main Street and the Turkey Hill, 141 W. Main Street & West End Trail were selling a gallon of regular for $3.23 per gallon Tuesday, gasbuddy said.
