When did your business get started?
Started as a "scratch" agent in 1998, meaning no book of clients or list. My first auto policy was mine, my first homeowners was mine...and we built from there. Many nights of telemarketing, eating generic popcorn, and wondering if it would work.

Today, we are a team of FIVE chicks and are looking to hire a sixth in 2014.

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?
I was born and raised in the Upper Milford/Emmaus area, so I wanted to stay in the Lehigh Valley for sure. I'd worked down near Philly in the 80's but it just didn't have the same "small town" feel.

We opened in Fogelsville in 1998, but have been really lucky to find our current "nest" in the old Buchin's Hardware/Macungie Bank building. It's a great spot!

What is your business best known for?
We provide a comprehensive menu of insurance products for personal and commercial needs. However, our biggest commitment to folks is to MAKE INSURANCE FUN. When you pay for something your entire life, you want to understand it. We explain it in simple terms and we make it a pain-free, fun process!

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?
We've spent very little on formal advertising. Word of mouth is the main way that folks learn about us. If you treat your clients well, they will be your marketing team.

We sponsor a client appreciation movie night at Emmaus Theatre every year. We host many charitable fundraisers, recently delivering a check of $6,820 to Animals In Distress of Coopersburg. We try to involve ourselves in the community because that's the best way to let people know who you are.
