President Steve Markowitz, son of the founder, recently gave five reasons that the company and the community still share a committed community relationship:

1. Since the initial move, the company has had six plant expansions, as well as its International Sales Headquarters to the Macungie facility.

2. From its beginning, Allen has been managed by the same family.

3. Due to a comfortable work environment offered employees, Allen has enjoyed a stable workforce that includes approximately 200 today. In the last three years, six Allen employees have reached the milestone of 50 years of service. This stable workforce has enabled Allen to produce quality products and also added to the general commerce of the local area.

4. Allen Organ has been the technological leader and in fact introduced the world's first digital musical instruments in 1971. The first Allen Digital Computer organ currently resides in the Smithsonian Institute. It has become the largest manufacturer of church organs in the world.

5. Allen Organ has always been committed to building products in the United States, even when it became out of fashion with many other companies.

Markowitz declined discussing the Stone Hill development plan that includes apartments and retail development on his Route 100  property, saying Allen Organ is not the developer.
