Five Things to Know Today: August 1

I want my MTV...

1. Weather: There's a chance of heavy rain today. The National Weather Service forecast for our area says storms could product "gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning," and that storms are to be expected after 1 p.m. Other than that, the day will be mostly sunny with a high around 94.

2. In Case You Missed It: Leave a comment on our topic this week: how young is too young to be home alone.

3. Sign Up: The Exchange Club of Western Lehigh is holding its 4th annual Sporting Clays Shoot beginning at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays. Visit the Exchange Club website for information on costs and sponsorships or to register. For information, email desanto63@verizon.net.
