Weekend Winter Storm Watch Includes Macungie, Lower Mac and Alburtis

The National Weather Service has issued a watch for Saturday for the possibility of heavy, wet snow.

Say it ain't snow!

It's not yet November, but the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the Lehigh Valley, including both Lehigh and Northampton counties.

The watch is for Saturday morning through Saturday evening, and is for 4 to 6 inches of snow--especially over the higher elevations of the area and the Poconos.

With temperatures forecast to be in the mid-30s, precipitation is expected to begin as rain and change over to heavy, wet snow.

A winter storm watch means the opportunity for precipitation exists, so area residents should continue to monitor the developing weekend forecast.
