Percy Dougherty Re-Elected Lehigh County Commissioner

Republican incumbent Percy Dougherty, of Lower Macungie, defeated Democrat Susan Ellis Wild, of South Whitehall, according to unofficial tallies.

Incumbent Percy Dougherty held onto his seat as Lehigh County Commissioner,  defeating challenger Susan Ellis Wild with 57 percent of the vote, according to unofficial tallies posted on wfmz.com.

Dougherty, a Republican, of Lower Macungie, was elected to a sixth term in District 2 with 6,586 votes, according to unofficial tallies.

Wild, a Democrat who resides in South Whitehall, had 4,977 votes, or 43 percent of the vote.

District 2 includes South Whitehall, Lower Macungie, Alburtis and Upper Macungie.
