Finale/This Week at LML

Monday is the Summer Reading Finale (indoors!) and Friday is Baby Graduation Day!

I was obsessively checking Weather Channel online all morning prior to getting into work, but to no avail... although we've yet to see a storm this afternoon, the risk was just too great that we'd get 15 minutes into the pool party finale when the skies would open. SO...

Monday: Summer Reading Club Finale, in the community center! We're going with the rain plan, so your family can arrive anytime between 6 and 6:30. We'll have Rita's available starting at 6:00 and DJ Jimbo will be playing music at that point. Then, starting around 6:30, the DJ will kick into party mode and we'll do some fun games and activities for the kids. Think of a big, fun, community-wide, kid-friendly wedding reception... or a birthday party at a bowling alley... but without the bowling ;) Sorry, everyone! Disappointed about not getting to do it at the pool, but we'll still have a blast!

Friday: "Graduation Party"!!

And with that, our summer reading club for 2011 has ENDED! Whew! This has been my 5th! I can't believe it! And flew by. I'm so proud of the kids (and parents) for all the reading that went on! Over 250 kids participating read/were read 6250 books!! If you requested a participation certificate, you can begin picking those up tonight at the finale or in the children's area after.

Fall signups go out NEXT Monday at 10am!
