This Week at the Library

Get some Dewey know-how with an around-the-world spin at the Dewey's Amazing Race family program or check out other children's programs this week!

We survived the latest heatwave, and we definitely saw a lot of you in the nice, air-conditioned library last week! Just because the temperatures dropped to "normal" summer temps, there's still plenty of reason to come in!

This Week at the Library:

Monday: Dewey’s Amazing Race!, 6:30pm, ages 4-11. We’re continuing our “One World, Many Stories” and mixing it with some library skills. Expose your kids to a little Dewey Decimal know-how in a fun way as each of the ten main Dewey classifications get a little attention. Activities for each section will introduce Dewey numbers with an around-the-world flavor. Pre-registration required.

Wednesday: Travel-Time Storytime at 10:30am or 12:30pm. Drop-by storytime (no signup required) storytime for kids who were in the 2s, 3s or 4 year old storytime or finished Kindergarten this past school year.

Note: To people who’ve signed their children up for the Finale at the Pool on 8/15, those who requested pool passes and were within the first 75 children signed up, we’ll begin distributing pool passes NEXT Monday, so stay tuned for word on whether you will receive them or not. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time to! You can go to the pool anytime that day, but the DJ will be there from 3:00-6:00 and we’re still working out details, but hope to have Rita’s!
