Arghh!! Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day! There haven't been any pirates in the library, but plenty of programs! Pennsylvania German class, storytimes, computer classes, and Daddy and Me, so...
This week at the library:

Monday: PA German classes at The Hills at Lockridge Rec Center, 7-9pm. This program is FULL, so this is a reminder for those of you who’ve already registered. Don’t forget to bring money for a PA German dictionary if you need one tonight!
Tuesday: 4 year old storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm. Advanced registration is required for storytimes, as there’s a limit to how many kids I can fit into the program room, plus advanced registration helps me prepare for the right number of kids… not ending up “short” or wasting craft supplies when people don’t show, and there’s an age cutoff date based on the East Penn School District. At this time, I still have spots in both 4 year old storytimes. Contact us if you’re interested.

Computer Basics Level 2, 11am-1pm. Adult computer class. Advanced registration is required, as well as a $5 class registration fee. This class is for adults who need to understand basic functions of the computer, but have already mastered simple user functions like using the mouse and basic navigation.
Wednesday: 3 year old storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm. Again, advanced registration is required for storytimes, for the same reasons as above. At this time, the morning storytime is filled and the afternoon has a few remaining spots. Contact us if you’re interested.
Intro to Microsoft Word 2007, 11am-1pm. Adult computer class. Advanced registration is required, as well as a $5 class registration fee. Come learn the basics of using Microsoft Word 2007, one of the more common word processors.
Thursday: 2 year old storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm. This is the same as the 3s… both in advanced registration, reasons and current availability status. Contact us if you’re interested.
Saturday: Daddy and Me Storytime, 10:00 am, our popular Dads-only storytimes for preschoolers… and Dad! Every dad who comes leaves a library convert! We do some dad-friendly stories, a simple craft and just have a fun time. And if you’ve ever heard me get on my soapbox about Boys and Reading, boys NEED to see their dads reading and involved in reading-related activities!! No moms allowed!
