This Week at the Library: Bedtime Booktime, eBook Workshop

This week at the library, storytimes, taxes, computer classes and book clubs!

We had a great time with everyone who showed up for the Cat in the Hat/Dr. Seuss storytime on Saturday! It’s always a fun time celebrating one of our favorite children’s authors, Theodor “Dr.Seuss” Geisel! Thanks to the 50 or more kids (and all the parents!) who came out!

In other big news from last week… we finally received the 1040 instruction booklets!

Now for what’s going on at the library this week…

This week at the library:

Monday: Space Trek: Rockets! 6:30pm. Our space themed school year program with the K-1st graders, aka the Rockets. This program for K-1st grade happens the first Monday night of every month. Each month, we’ll read some books about that month’s theme, then do an activity or craft. Advanced registration is required.

Bedtime Booktime; 7:30pm, ages 2-7 years. Our monthly bedtime storytime. Kids can come out and hear a few bedtime stories. Come dressed in your PJs… Miss Erin will be! No signup required.

Tuesday: 4 year old storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm. Advanced registration is required for storytimes, as there’s a limit to how many kids I can fit into the program room, plus advanced registration helps me prepare for the right number of kids… not ending up “short” or wasting craft supplies when people don’t show, and there’s an age cutoff date of 9/12 based on the East Penn School District. Contact us if you’re interested in signing up.

eBook Workshop, Kindle users. 6pm, Community Center Room B. This hands-on workshop will cover how to browse, check out, and download titles from Lower Macungie Library’s digital collection (OverDrive) Please bring your device (and laptop if needed) and library card with you to the workshop. ***At this time, the program is filled, but we are still taking people for the waiting list and will contact people if spots open up. We will also do this workshop again in the future.

eBook Workshop, Nook/tablet/mobile device users. 7pm, Community Center Room B. See above.

Wednesday: 3 year old storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm. Again, advanced registration is required for storytimes, for the same reasons as above.

Adult Book Club, 10:30am-12pm. The monthly meeting of the LML book club meets in the township building “ballroom”. This month, the group is reading Katherine by Anya Seton
