This Week at the Library: Coffee Saturdays Continue
Library programs this week and looking ahead to next week!
Nearly half way through December and we’re already a few days into Hanukkah, we hosted Santa for a quick visit on Saturday, and New Years will be here before you know it. Thanks to all who came out on Saturday to see Santa! In case your child hasn’t colored an ornament for the tree in the Children’s Area, be sure to ask for an ornament to color when you come in next! I love seeing the tree decorated with our kids’ artwork!
This week at the library:
Monday: Space Trek: Astronauts! 6:30pm. This is our space themed school year program with 2nd-3rd graders, aka the Astronauts. This program happens the second Monday night of every month. Each month, we’ll read some books about that month’s theme, then do an activity or craft. Advanced registration is required, and this week, I’ll put the signup sheets out for the remaining program dates through Winter and Spring.

Wednesday: Winter Drop-by Storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm, children 2-5 years old as of 9/12/12. As we all get a little busy during the holiday season, we take a break from our normal school year sessions of storytimes. We still want to give you an opportunity to bring your child in for stories, though, so join us for drop-bys whenever it fits into your schedule! Come as often as possible to keep your child in the routine for the new cycle starting in January! No signup required.
Saturdays: Coffee Saturdays with the Lower Macungie Library Board of Directors, 9-11am. If you stop in on Saturday between 9-11am, the LML Board is offering coffee as a way to thank you for your support of the library over the years! Come in and grab a cup!

Finally, looking ahead a bit, the Macungie Minstrelaires will be here at 6 p.m. Dec. 18 to sing some holiday songs, so mark your calendars for that! Admission to the concert is a donation of one non-perishable food item, which we’ll take to the Zionsville Food Pantry.
