This Week at the Library: Community Day was Great!

Recap from last week's Community Day and this week's schedule at the library!

I know saying “I told you so" is impolite, but I told you last you didn’t want to miss the 2nd Annual Community Day!!

From all the people I talked to, they had a great time! Some people even said they stayed for a couple of hours there was so much to do! The petting zoo and bounce house still went on for part of the event despite the rain. Tons of local businesses and organizations were on hand, as well as a Miller Blood-mobile, State Police, and a couple of kid-friendly characters!

I had so many kids participate in the coloring contest that I had to run back to my room and dig up some leftover summer reading prizes, since we were giving each participant a “thank you." I hope everyone had a great time with friends and neighbors and learned some new things about the community as well! See our album on Facebook for a few pictures from the day, from setup to the event itself!
