This Week at the Library: Fall is in Full Swing

September is winding down, but there's still lots of programs going on at the library!

It’s hard to believe September is winding down already. Fall is officially here as of this past weekend. We’re nearing the end of National Library Card Signup Month. (So last few days to get that library card if you or your child never has... and be in the running for a Pickles Steakhouse gift card!) Next week will start Banned Book Week, which starts the last Monday of September.

This week at the library:

Tuesday: 4 year old storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm. Advanced registration is required for storytimes, as there’s a limit to how many kids I can fit into the program room, plus advanced registration helps me prepare for the right number of kids… not ending up “short” or wasting craft supplies when people don’t show, and there’s an age cutoff date of 9/12 based on the East Penn School District. Contact us if you’re interested.

UFO Program, 6pm, Community Center. Former MUFON investigator John Royer coming next Tuesday night for a presentation on local UFO sightings.

Wednesday: Intro to Excel 2007; 10am-12pm. Topics covered include: uses of Excel, formatting of spreadsheets, & simple formulas. Advanced registration and $5 class fee required.

3 year old storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm. Again, advanced registration is required for storytimes, for the same reasons as above.

Thursday: 2 year old storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm. Again, advanced registration is required for storytimes.

LML Board Meeting; 5pm. Monthly meeting of the library Board of Directors. Open to the public.

As always, please contact the library for details on any programs.  There are already about 60 people signed up for tonight's UFO program, so if you're interested in joining them, give us a call or stop in! Hope you're enjoying the first full week of Fall.
