Town Beautification Committee will be at Macungie Farmers Market

Memorable Memorial Day celebrations in Macungie. Be sure to stop by the Town Beautification Committee booth at the Macungie Farmers' Market on Thursday, June 2.

Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful Memorial Day Weekend.

The Flag Raising Ceremony at Macungie Memorial Park was really nice.  The VFW Veterans are truly  inspiring and it makes me so proud to be an American.  It was great to see and talk with our Congressman Charlie Dent and our PA State Representative Doug Reichley.  I know it was a busy day for those gentlemen and we really appreciated their taking time to visit with us in Macungie.

The Macungie Memorial Day Parade was also terrific and clearly demonstrates why it is so nice to live in a small town.  It's fun to watch the parade and realize you know just about everyone who is marching or riding down the street.   I loved the antique fire truck driven by Macungie attorney Becca Young's husband.  Becca was the co-pilot.  Thanks to all who participated in all our Macungie Memorial Day events.

Just want to encourage everyone to check  out Chris Boehm's BLOG about the Macungie Farmers' Market opening on Thursday, June 2 @ 4 pm.    Opening Night is always fun with special entertainment and activities.

Macungie's Town Beautification Committee will be in the "Community Booth" to sell McUNg tee shirts and other Macungie related souvenirs.  The Committee also sells hoagies from Fat Freddies throughout the year and you are welcome to sign up for future hoagie sales.  Town Beautification Committee purchases the banners and flags for Main Street and has also purchased historical street lights for Lehigh Street  and holiday decorations for the Macungie Flower Park.  The Committee sponsors the Photos with the Easter Bunny Event, Scarecrows along Main Street and coordinates the annual MACUNGIE HOLIDAY event held on the second Saturday of December.
