1. 30th Annual Berks Heritage Festival
When/Where: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1-2 at the Berks County Heritage Center, 633 Court St., Reading.

Why Go: Take a ride on a mule-powered carousel, see antique cars and farm equipment and some Victorian high wheelers.

2. 2nd Annual Emmaus Main Street Partners Beer Fest
When/Where: 1-5 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Emmaus Shopping Center, 1328 Chestnut St.
Why Go: Participating breweries include Blue Moon, BrewWorks, Dogfish, Flying Fish, Heavy Seas, Long Trail, Magic Hat, Palm/Rodenbach, Sam Adams, Spaten, Stoudt’s, Troeg’s, Victory and Weyerbacher.
Pricing: Tickets $30 in advance; $35 at the door. $10 Non-Drinker. Includes $5 Food Voucher.
When/Where: Begins at 10 a.m. Oct. 1-2 at 4301 Chestnut Street, Emmaus.
